Luigi Onesta for Oball glass sculpture

This fabulous sculpture is by Luigi Onesta for the Italian studio Oball. Made in c.2000 it comprises a large clear thick disc of glass that appears to have been split on the diagonal from 11 o'clock to 5 o'clock. and then put back together on the same angle but sightly offset. There are rose and peridot coloured glass amoeba shaped bubbles, with clear bubbles and two black glass abstract shaped bubbles within the clear glass. The disc is mounted on a solid oval shaped black glass stand that is signed on the base "L Onesta Murano"
